Most things are answered below. If yours is not, a person reads every email that arrives at support@triply.africa.

Missing something, or found a rough edge? The feedback form goes straight onto the list we work from.
You can delete your account and everything in the cloud from inside the app, or from this website without installing anything.
Triply is in closed testing on Android, so it is not on the public Google Play store yet. Testing on Play works by allow-listing Google accounts, so email support@triply.africa with the Google account address your phone signs in with and we will add you.
Triply is on Google Play for Android. Search for "Triply Logbook", or use the download button at the top of this page.
There is no iPhone version yet.
For the free plan, no. Your logbook lives on your phone and logging drives works without signing in. An account is needed for the things that involve a server: Premium, encrypted cloud backup, and restoring onto a new phone from the cloud rather than from a file.
Scan the barcode on its licence disc. The disc already holds the registration, make, model and VIN, so the vehicle is added in seconds without you typing anything. You can also add one by hand if the disc will not scan.
Not automatically — there is no import from a paper book or a spreadsheet yet. You can add past trips by hand, and because opening kilometres carry over from the previous trip, entering them in date order is quicker than it sounds. If a bulk import would make the difference for you, say so on the feedback form.
Open the trip and correct the closing reading by hand. Triply will then check it against the next trip's opening reading and tell you if the two do not meet, so an edit cannot silently leave a gap behind it.
A gap is distance the logbook cannot account for: one trip closes at 84 259 km and the next opens at 84 300 km, so 41 km happened that is not recorded anywhere. That is exactly the kind of hole that undermines a claim, so Triply points it out while you can still remember what the drive was.
Three things have to be true, and it is usually the second:
Also check that Android has not put Triply to sleep: in Android Settings, find Triply under Apps, open Battery, and set it to Unrestricted. Battery optimisation is the single most common reason background detection stops firing.
Android blocks notifications from apps it has not been told to allow. Open Android Settings, find Triply under Apps, open Notifications, and switch them on. On some phones — Samsung, Xiaomi, Huawei, Oppo and OnePlus especially — there is a second, separate setting that puts sleeping apps into a deep sleep list; take Triply off it.
The reminder only fires when there is actually a drive waiting to be classified, so nothing arriving may simply mean nothing is outstanding.
GPS is only used while a trip is actually recording, not in the background all day, and the live notification exists partly so you can see when it is running. Automatic detection listens for a Bluetooth connection, which is far cheaper than watching motion sensors.
Every trip in the range you chose, with the date, opening and closing kilometres, distance, where from, where to, the reason for the trip, the vehicle, and whether it was business or personal. Unfinished drafts are left out until you complete them.
CSV if they are going to work with the numbers, because it opens in Excel or Google Sheets and can be totalled and filtered. PDF if it is going into a file as a record, or being attached to something. Both come from the same data, so it costs nothing to send both.
SARS does not approve or certify logbook software — no app can honestly claim it is "SARS approved". What SARS sets out is what a logbook must contain, and Triply records those fields on every trip and exports them in a form you or your accountant can work from. What you claim, and what SARS accepts, remains between you and SARS.
For individuals it runs from 1 March to the end of February. When you export, set the date range to match the year you are filing for rather than a calendar year.
Tap "Forgot password" on the sign-in screen and Triply emails you a reset link. Open that link on the phone you requested it from — the reset finishes inside the app, and a link opened on a different device or a laptop cannot complete it.
Reset links can be used once and expire after a short time. If yours has lapsed, request a new one.
In Google Play, at play.google.com/store/account/subscriptions. We cannot cancel it for you — Google is the merchant and only Google can stop the billing. Cancelling stops the next renewal; the period you have paid for runs to its end.
Your account and everything held in the cloud, including your encrypted backups. The copy on your phone is separate: uninstall the app or clear its data if you want that gone too.
Cancel your Google Play subscription first. Deleting the account does not cancel it, and Google will keep charging for an account that no longer exists.

Two ways, and the free one works on every plan. Save a backup to a file on the old phone, move that file across however you like, and restore from it on the new one. On Premium you can instead restore from your scheduled cloud backup by signing in — you will need your recovery code, because the backup is encrypted with a key we do not hold.
Do it before you wipe the old phone, not after.
If you still have the phone with Triply on it, open the app and generate a fresh code from the backup settings.
If the phone is gone as well, the cloud backup cannot be recovered — by anyone, including us. That is the deal end-to-end encryption makes: we hold the file and none of the keys, which is what stops anyone here from reading your trips. Your file backups and the data on any other device are unaffected.
Yes. Starting, stopping, editing and classifying drives all work offline, because your logbook is stored on the phone rather than fetched from a server. Data is only needed for route map tiles, cloud backup and signing in.
Email support@triply.africa with your phone model, your Android version, and what you were doing when it went wrong. Those three things usually save a round trip.
